Plan limits and what happens when you hit one

Last updated July 19, 2026

Every uplads workspace runs on one plan, and that plan decides four things: how many ad accounts you can launch to, which platforms you can launch on, how much creative storage you get, and whether the AI Optimizer, scheduling and team invites are unlocked. Nothing else is metered.

The three plans

Prices are per month, excluding VAT. Yearly billing costs ten months instead of twelve.

Seats are never counted or charged per head. The line is solo versus team: Starter is the owner alone, Growth and Agency include unlimited teammates.

The 14-day trial

New workspaces start on a 14-day free trial with no credit card, and the trial carries the full Growth feature set — Meta and TikTok, the AI Optimizer, scheduling and rules, team invites.

The clock runs from the moment your account was created, not from your first visit. Staying logged out doesn't extend it. You'll get one reminder email three days before the trial ends and one when it lapses.

How the ad-account limit is counted

The limit counts distinct ad accounts you have launched to in the last 30 days — not how many accounts your Meta token can see, and not how many are connected. Connecting ten accounts and launching to two keeps you inside Starter.

Because the window rolls, an account you stop using frees its slot automatically once 30 days pass without a launch. You only ever hit the wall when a launch would push you past the number your plan includes.

What happens at each gate

Every gate blocks exactly one action and tells you why. Nothing is deleted and nothing else changes.

Trial expired. The workspace turns read-only: you can still open every page, browse the Ads Manager and see your creatives, but writes stop. Launching says "Your free trial has ended. Pick a plan to keep launching ads." Other writes say the workspace "is read-only. Pick a plan to make changes again." Your data is kept.

Platform not in your plan. Launching to TikTok on Starter returns "TikTok launches aren't included in your plan. Upgrade to Growth to launch on Meta + TikTok."

Ad-account limit. "Your plan includes N active ad accounts (rolling 30 days) and this launch would add one more." Launching again to an account already inside the window is always fine.

Storage cap. The cap is fair-use, and only the upload that would cross it is blocked — earlier uploads are untouched. You'll see "This upload would exceed your plan's 100 GB storage (X GB used). Upgrade for more space, or delete unused creatives."

Feature gates. The AI Optimizer, scheduling & automated rules, and inviting team members each return "… is available on the Growth plan and above."

Payment failed. A subscription in past_due keeps full access while Stripe's automatic retries run. Access only drops to read-only once the retries are exhausted and the subscription is canceled.

After you hit a gate, you may also get an upgrade email — at most one per workspace per week, no matter how many times you hit the button.

Downgrades and team members

Downgrading to Starter (or letting a trial lapse) blocks your teammates from working in the workspace, but it never deletes them. Their rows stay exactly as they were, with the same permissions, and the moment you upgrade back to Growth or Agency everyone is in again. Removing someone stays your decision alone.

Members who are blocked see "Team members aren't included in this workspace's current plan. Ask the workspace owner to upgrade to Growth or higher to restore your access." — they never see a paywall they can't act on.

Billing is owner-only

Only the workspace owner can open checkout, change plans or manage payment details. A member attempting it gets "Only the workspace owner can manage billing."

Abuse tripwires (all plans)

Separate from plan limits, a handful of safety limits protect the shared infrastructure. They apply on every plan and are deliberately generous — normal work never reaches them:

  • 100 launches per hour per workspace.
  • 50 GB of uploads per day per workspace.
  • 20 test notifications per 10 minutes.

Each resets automatically when its window rolls over.

AI spend is not billed by uplads

AI copy generation and the Optimizer run on your own provider API keys. Whatever those models cost is billed to you by your provider, not by us — so there is no AI quota, credit balance or token allowance in any plan. The spend cap you can set inside uplads is your own self-protection limit, not a plan boundary. See How to configure your AI provider keys.
