How to invite team members to your workspace

Last updated June 10, 2026

uplads lets you bring your whole team into one workspace so everyone launches against the same connected ad accounts, Pages, and configuration. Inviting someone takes a single form on the Team page, where you also decide exactly what they can see and do before they ever sign in. This guide walks through inviting, scoping permissions, sharing the link, and managing pending invites.

Open the Team page and use the invite form

  1. Go to the Team page in the dashboard.
  2. Find the Invite a team member card at the top.
  3. Enter the person's email address in the Email address field.
  4. Set the permissions you want them to have (covered below).
  5. Click Invite. You can also just press Enter in the email field to send.

A toast confirms the invite was created and an invite link appears for you to share.

You only need the email to send an invite, but it is worth setting permissions first so the new member lands with the right access from the start.

Setting permissions at invite time

The Permissions section under the email field controls what the invited member can access. There are two scoped areas and four on/off toggles:

  • Ad Accounts — which connected ad accounts the member can see and use.
  • FB / IG Pages — which Facebook/Instagram Pages they can launch from.
  • Ad Spend — lets them view the Ad Spend reporting page.
  • View Configuration — lets them view naming conventions and creative enhancements.
  • Edit Configuration — lets them save changes to configuration settings.
  • Team Management — lets them invite and remove team members themselves.

New invites start with sensible defaults: access to all ad accounts and all Pages, with every toggle off. That means a fresh member can launch ads but can't view spend, edit configuration, or manage the team until you grant it. For a full breakdown of what each setting unlocks, see Understanding user roles and permissions.

Choosing All accounts vs. specific ad accounts

Under Ad Accounts, use the toggle to pick how broad their access is:

  • All accounts — the member sees and can use every ad account connected to the workspace, including ones you connect later.
  • Specific accounts — a checklist of your connected accounts appears so you can tick only the ones this person should touch.

Choose Specific accounts when a freelancer or client-specific teammate should only work inside one brand's account. If no ad accounts show up, connect Meta first via How to connect your Meta account.

Choosing All pages vs. restricted Pages

Under FB / IG Pages, the toggle works the same way:

  • All pages — the member can launch using any Page on your Meta connection.
  • Restrict pages — uplads loads your Pages from Meta and shows a checklist. By default all are pre-selected; untick the ones this member should not be able to launch from.

Restricting Pages is useful when one teammate manages a single brand Page and you don't want them publishing under others.

When you click Invite, uplads creates the invite and shows an Invite link generated panel with the link displayed in full.

  1. Click Copy link to copy it to your clipboard (the button confirms with a checkmark).
  2. Send the link to your teammate via email, Slack, or wherever you chat.
  3. Click Dismiss to hide the panel once you've sent it.

The recipient opens the link, signs in or creates an account, and joins your workspace with the permissions you set. The link is tied to the email you entered, so share it with that person.

Viewing pending invites and expiration dates

Invites that haven't been accepted yet appear in a Pending Invites card lower on the page. Each row shows:

  • The Email the invite was sent to.
  • The Expires date — invites are time-limited, so an unused link stops working after this date.

If an invite expires before it's accepted, just send a new one from the invite form. Once a person accepts, they move out of Pending Invites and into the Members table, where you can later adjust their access or remove them — see How to edit or remove a team member's access.

Revoking a pending invite

Sent an invite to the wrong address, or changed your mind before it was accepted? Revoke it:

  1. Open the Pending Invites card.
  2. Find the invite's row.
  3. Click Revoke.

A toast confirms the invite was revoked and the link stops working immediately. Revoking only affects invites that haven't been accepted yet — to change access for someone who has already joined, edit or remove them from the Members table instead.
