How to connect your LinkedIn Ads account

Last updated September 4, 2026

uplads launches to LinkedIn the same way it does to Meta, TikTok and Snapchat - connect once, then launch your creatives in bulk.

What you need before you start

  • A LinkedIn member account with Campaign Manager access to the ad account you want to launch into.
  • A Page role on the LinkedIn Page that ad account advertises for (Admin, or "Direct Sponsored Content Poster"). LinkedIn publishes every ad as a Page, so without that role LinkedIn refuses the ad even when your ad account access is perfect.

Connect LinkedIn

  1. Open Configuration → Connections.
  2. In the LinkedIn Connection card, click Connect LinkedIn.
  3. Sign in with the LinkedIn account that has access to your ad accounts and approve the requested permissions.
  4. You land back on the Connections page with the ad account list open. Pick the LinkedIn ad account for the workspace account you're on - the launch wizard pre-selects it from then on.

Which Page your ads go out as

Each LinkedIn ad account names one Page it advertises for. uplads reads that Page from the ad account and shows it in the launcher header, next to the ad account name. There is nothing to pick: LinkedIn decides it, and changing it means changing it in Campaign Manager.

LinkedIn's words vs. the wizard's

Campaign Manager and the API use different names for the same two levels, and uplads follows Campaign Manager, which is what you see in your browser:

Troubleshooting

  • The card shows no ad accounts. The LinkedIn member you signed in with has no ad account in Campaign Manager, or access is still being set up. Fix the access in Campaign Manager, then click Refresh accounts.
  • Launches fail with a permissions error naming the Page. Your ad-account access is fine but your Page role is not. Ask a Page admin for the "Direct Sponsored Content Poster" role and launch again.
  • The connection expired. LinkedIn access tokens last 60 days. Click Re-authorize in the same card to sign in again; nothing about your launches or ad accounts is lost.
  • You connected the wrong LinkedIn account. Disconnect, then connect again and pick the right login.
