Use cases

What you can ask for on Facebook and Instagram

Requests your assistant carries out today, and what happens when you send them.

“Launch the summer sale: videos in this Dropbox folder, 50 € a day, DE and AT.”

Imports the creatives, writes the copy in your Brand Context's voice, builds the campaign and ad sets paused, looks up real location and interest ids, and stages the ads as a launch draft, with Page and Instagram account, carousels, placements or translations where you ask. You open the review link and press Launch.

“Add Switzerland and remove Audience Network on the DACH ad set.”

Changes locations, age, gender, interests, custom audiences, placements, devices, optimisation goal or conversion event of an existing ad set and leaves the rest as it was. On a delivering ad set this restarts Meta's learning phase.

“Copy the best ad set into the Scaling campaign at 100 € a day.”

Duplicates an ad set within its campaign, into other campaigns with the same objective or into a new copy of its campaign, with or without its ads. Or a whole campaign. Copies start paused.

“Swap the video on the Hook A ad for the new 9:16 and 4:5 cuts.”

Replaces an ad's image or video from your library, for every placement, per format or for one placement, and changes its link or button. The ad keeps its id and history but gets a new post: likes and comments start over, and Meta reviews it again.

“Replace card 3 of the carousel and change its headline.”

Edits classic carousel cards: image or video, headline, description, link and button, and adds, removes or reorders cards. Like any creative change, this gives the ad a new post and a new review.

“Run an audit and fix what is bleeding money.”

Runs an Optimize audit against your goals and break-even and explains each finding with its numbers. Pausing, cutting a budget and excluding a country it applies right away; anything that raises spend waits for your switch and your yes.

“Which creatives won this month, across every campaign?”

Ranks each image and video across all the ads that use it, judged on your account's own result against its target, and reads the hooks, tags and transcripts uplads stored to say what the winners share.

“Pause any ad set over 40 € CPA, checked every hour.”

Creates the rule and replays it over the last days of real numbers first, so you see what it would have done. A rule that switches on or raises budgets starts in approval mode: it proposes, you approve.

“Point the boosted post ad at our newest Facebook post.”

Switches an ad that promotes an existing post to another post of the same Page. A Facebook post brings its own likes and comments. An Instagram post is shown on a new post Meta creates, so its engagement does not appear on the ad.

What stays with you

Where the assistant stops

Some things stay with you by design, others because Meta does not allow them.

Pressing Launch

New ads go live when you press Launch on the review link. Only a workspace that allowed autonomous launching lets the assistant publish, and only after your yes in the chat.

What Meta does not allow

The attribution window and a switch from daily to lifetime budget cannot change on an existing ad set. Catalogue, partnership, Instant Experience, flexible-format and dynamic-creative ads, and Advantage+ carousels, are refused with the reason.

Deleting your work

It removes only campaigns and ad sets an assistant created through uplads, and none that hold something you added or launched. Ads you launched from its draft count as yours. Yours it only pauses. A removed campaign is archived, because Meta's API cannot delete one.

Safety

Built so a chat cannot run up your bill

The assistant signs in as you and works under the rules below on every request.

Pause and lower without asking

Pausing a campaign, ad set or ad and lowering a budget go through at once.

Two keys for more spend

Switching something on, raising a budget, a looser bid, an active copy, a launch on its own or a rule that raises budgets unattended need the workspace's autonomous switch and your yes in the chat. Budgets also stay under your daily ceiling.

Drafts before ads

New ads arrive as a launch draft with a review link. Your assistant can change or discard a draft it staged, and a draft launches only once.

A way back

Ad set and creative edits return what changed and how to put it back. Meta can check a change first without saving it.

An app Meta reviewed

Every call runs through the uplads app that passed Meta's app review, on the official Marketing API. No scraping, no browser automation.

Every change on record

Each change lands in your uplads audit log, marked as coming from MCP, so you can always see what the assistant did and when.

Connect

Three steps to your first brief

You connect Meta to uplads once. Your assistant then works through that connection.

  1. 01

    Connect Meta in uplads

Under Configuration → Connections, sign in with Facebook and pick your ad accounts. Meta is on every plan.

  2. 02

    Add uplads to your assistant

In Claude or ChatGPT, open Settings → Connectors, add a custom connector with https://uplads.com/api/mcp and sign in with your uplads account. Claude Code, Cursor and other clients take the same URL. There is no API key.

  3. 03

    Hand over a brief

Start with “Which ad accounts do I have?”, then send a brief with the creatives link, budget, dates and countries, or ask how last week went.

FAQ

Meta Ads MCP questions

What is a Meta Ads MCP server?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that lets an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT use a tool's real functions. The uplads MCP server gives your assistant the Meta ad accounts you connected in uplads, so it can build campaigns, stage ads and change what runs on Facebook and Instagram, under your permissions.

Can Claude or ChatGPT create Facebook and Instagram ads?

Yes, as a draft you launch. Your assistant imports the creatives, writes the copy, creates the campaign and ad sets paused and stages the ads as a launch draft. They go live when you press Launch, unless your workspace allowed autonomous launching. It can still change or discard the draft before that.

Can it change ads that are already running?

Yes. It changes an ad set's targeting, placements, optimisation goal and ad scheduling, a campaign's bid strategy and spending limit, an ad's text, image, video, link, button and URL parameters, the post behind a boosted post ad and the cards of a carousel. It also pauses, renames, sets schedules, schedules one-off and weekly budget changes, and creates automated rules and post boosts.

Will a creative change lose my likes and comments?

Yes, for a changed text, image, video, link or carousel: Meta shows the ad on a new post, so likes, comments and shares start over, and Meta reviews the ad again. Switching a boosted post ad to another Facebook post is the exception, because that post brings its own engagement. The assistant can put the previous version back.

Can it raise my budget or switch ads on by itself?

Only if you allow it. Pausing and lowering a budget need no permission. Switching something on, raising a budget and loosening a bid need your workspace's autonomous switch and your yes in the chat, and a raised budget stays under the daily ceiling you set.

Can it audit my account and tell me what to fix?

Yes. It runs an Optimize audit of the ad account, judged against your goals and break-even, and each finding names the entity, the evidence and the change it proposes. It applies the ones you pick: pausing and lowering at once, anything that raises spend only with your switch and your yes. It also ranks creatives across ads and runs the Analytics reports, so you see which hooks win before you scale them.

Is the Meta connection official?

Yes. The uplads Meta app passed Meta's app review, and every call runs on the Meta Marketing API, the same endpoints Ads Manager uses. There is no scraping and no automation driving a browser on your account. uplads is not a Meta Business Partner and does not claim to be.

Does it also work for Google Ads, TikTok and Snapchat?

Yes, with the same connection. On each of them it builds paused campaigns, stages new ads for your review and manages what already runs; how far the edits go differs by network. Each network has its own page, linked below.

Brief it once. Review it. Launch it.
